Just got done a long closing shift, and felt the urge for some sushi. Sushi Sake in North Miami was the only place open, so I ordered a few rolls and appetizers for the hotel.
Pork Gyoza – Standard shumai which had a nice flavor. Accompanied by a dumpling sauce. Enjoyable.
Pork Shumai – Not bad! Couldn’t figure out exactly what the sauce was (mustard mayo?), but it accompanied the gyoza pretty well.
Shrimp Tempura Roll – Shrimp Tempura, Krabstick, Avocado, Spicy Mayo, Sesame Seeds and Masago Topped with Eel Sauce. For a late night roll, it was decent.
Spicy Tuna Roll – Tuna, Cucumber, Sesame Seed and Served with Kimchee Sauce. That was some dark, dark tuna. I squinted a bit to make sure it was what I ordered, but it tasted like tuna. Again, not bad for a take out roll.
REVIEW: 7.1 out of 10. Not a whole lot to say about this. It was 11pm, and I wanted sushi delivery. It wasn’t bad, but it’s a one and done for me. I’ve heard it’s busy after Heat games. That’s cool.
